This hay bag is designed to be a great everyday feeder for most horses and other animals: it measures 22x10x28" and can hold about 2-3 flakes of hay. This hay bag has 3x2” rectangular front and back openings which will prevent hay wastage and slow down their rate of consumption, but still allow for frustration-free feeding. Love these gay bags
Tried returning and never allowed me to return.
I like this hay bag for its ease of use - super easy to hang on my panels inside my barn. And it seems to be good quality. But it doesn't really seem to be slow feed. I have never used a slow feed bag before so I thought this would be fine for my mare, but apparently the openings are big enough for her to fly through the hay. Or she's grabbing from the top....because unless you clip or tie the rings together across the top, or you hang it super high-- which to me defeats the purpose of a slow feed bag since you're trying to mimic natural grazing (head down)-- a horse can easily pull hay from the top. So it might end up as a trailer bag if I ever haul again haha, but I wouldn't say it's my slow feed solution...
I’m really pleased with the quality and size of this hay bag. The slow feed size keeps my mare busy and keeps her from wasting hay. I purchased two so I can have one in her stall and one on deck ready to go on mornings she can’t be turned out. This size easily accommodated four flakes and I could probably fit one more. I got the purple and the color is vibrant! I would purchase these again!
