This groovy bag by Derby Originals was designed to give your horse a fun, functional alternative to boring regular hay bags! These bags are built with a large opening in the top to make loading hay as easy as possible. The fold-over top flap keeps your hay inside during use and prevents your horse from eating from the top or wasting excess hay. Our mesh bottom allows dirt and debris to fall through while allowing the hay to breathe and preventing rot/mold or moisture buildup. These hay bags include two reinforced and adjustable straps for mounting and hanging. They also feature a back strap which enables the bag to be tied down for added stability while feeding. Size: 21" x 23" with a 13" diameter opening.

    Derby Originals Top Load Peace Sign Hanging Horse Hay Bag with 6 Month Warranty

    My bag has a rod protruding out of it!

    I was not surprised or bothered that she tore part of the piece sign off.
    The problem with this bag is that 1 of the rods along the top of the bag poked out after only being used 3 times.
    However it is a great size, it is very easy to load and holds a lot of hay.

    Purchased this hay bag on January 24th. By August, the peace sign was no longer intact and one of the metal poles at the top of the bag keeps working its way out. My horse is not at all an aggressive eater, so I have to chalk it up to the bag being poorly made. Used to get the same style bag from professionals choice but for some reason, they stopped making this particular style. Theirs held up much better.





    Return Policy :

    We offer a 30 day return policy for eligible products purchased on our website. All returned products must be unused, in new condition, with tags attached, and must be returned with paper inserts & all the original bags & packaging material. 

     Any merchandise returned without its original packing or tags will be subject to a 20% restocking fee or will receive only a store credit at our discretion.

    Any merchandise returned and found to be used upon return will be destroyed and no refund or exchange will be issued.

    All authorized returned merchandise must be received by us within fourteen (14) business days of the initial contact via email.

    Prior to returning any product the buyer must obtain a return authorization via email through our Return Request Form below. 



             Return Policy on Horse Blankets / Sheets

             No returns/exchanges on any used Horse Clothing. 

    • Due to hygiene & sanitation reasons, we do not accept returns on any used horse clothing that has been worn by the horse. It is important that horse blankets & body sheets are tried on for a good fit with a sheet underneath it so as to maintain cleanliness. In the event the wrong size has been ordered & the horse clothing does not fit as desired, kindly remove it immediately & request a return via email within 3 days of package delivery at the latest. Returns will not be authorized beyond this time in any case. Refunds will be issued within 2-4  business days of returns after the blanket has been delivered to us & inspected by our returns department. The buyer will be notified of the refund via email  automatically if an email has been provided.

    • If you need to exchange a blanket for another size, you do not have to wait for the refund. You may simply reorder your blanket in the size desired.

    • Horse blankets & sheets are not guaranteed against ripping & tearing due to the fact that some horses are known to be extremely rough on their blankets, while other horses could get years of use out of their blanket Most tears & rips may be repaired easily at your local repair shop. To help prevent injury to the horse, blanket straps and hardware will break at a certain stress point and are therefore not guaranteed against breakage.

    • Horse clothing that has made contact with a horse is a health hazard and sanitation risk to other customers as well as our employees. All items must be completely new and unused. Any horse clothing that has been used, even if for a brief moment cannot be returned. Upon return all horse clothing is inspected thoroughly and if any evidence of wear is found, the blanket may be destroyed with no refund or credit. This includes but may not be limited to blankets, sheets, fly masks, grooming items, and horse coolers.  

          Horse clothing is therefore not returnable once used. Derby Originals is not responsible for any horse clothing that is torn and destroyed              once it has been out of the bag & worn by the horse. Any returned used horse clothing will be destroyed & no refund will be issued.

    Derby Dog Coat Returns/Exchanges 

    All Derby Originals brand dog coats are eligible for free 2-3 day* shipping and free returns and exchanges (1 per customer).

    All exchanges must be requested within 72 hours of the package being received in order to be eligible for this program, and the items must be in new sellable condition with original tags and packaging to qualify.

    If there is a price difference between exchange products, the customer is responsible for covering this cost before the exchange item is to be shipped out.

    Our return policy for these dog coats is the same as our standard return policy. Please read our return policy here before ordering. When you place an order, you are agreeing to abide by our stated return policy. Returns must be started within 30 days of the coat being received.

    Eligible orders must consist only of Derby Originals brand dog coats and no other items. Free shipping eligibility is not available when combined with other items.

    *These dog coats will ship USPS Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate. Please note that Priority Mail does not have guaranteed delivery dates, so your order might arrive sooner or later than the expected date.

    Warranty Eligibility and Registration

    Our warranty information is given on individual product cards. We recommend that buyers register their products online so that important information like the product purchase date and the lot number of that product is entered and recorded into our system. The buyer should, if possible, also save the warranty card that came with their product. Doing so will expedite the warranty claims progress.

    Product warranties are voided if the product is purchased secondhand or transferred from the original registered owner. A dated proof of purchase must be present at the time a warranty claim is submitted. The warranty only covers the main body of the product and does not cover any replaceable straps, snaps, velcro closures, or other accessories which may be purchased separately. Warranties are only valid for the specified duration, with a start date set as the date of purchase.

    In order to register your product online, all you have to do is go to and click the banner on the top of the page that says “Warranty Registration”. There you will be directed to fill out a form with your product and purchase information. Completing this process will greatly speed up the warranty return/replacement process later on, should you need to, so we encourage all buyers to take this extra step.

    What our Warranties Cover

    Our limited warranties on our products are offered only towards manufacturing defects of the product. Any and all damage to products that are caused by abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents are not covered. Replaceable parts such as hardware, straps, snaps, and velcro closures are not eligible for warranty coverage and instead, replacement parts can be purchased through us.

    We are unable to offer full warranty coverage on most of our products due to the nature of their use: products designed for use with horses and other livestock animals are often at a very high risk of damage by the animal. Minor damage* is to be expected in most cases due to the nature of horses rubbing blankets on fences, chewing on and pawing at hay bags, etc. We will look at each warranty case individually and decide what the best course of action is on a case by case basis.

    How to Initiate the Warranty Coverage Process

    To claim a replacement on a defective product that is under warranty, you must follow the steps below:

    You must call us at (330)494-4066 or email us at and inform us of the warranty defect, and if possible include information such as the vendor you purchased the item from, proof of purchase, your warranty registration information (if you registered the product), and include a description of the damage/defect the item has, or send us photos.

    If you are a local customer, you may call us and arrange to bring the defective item into our headquarters to be examined by one of our Tack Experts. Our Tack Experts will examine the item thoroughly and determine whether the item does have manufacturing defects/quality issues, or if the damage is due to an accident, abuse, or normal wear and tear. If the product has minor damage* and is usable with repair, then up to a $20.00 gift certificate will be awarded to the customer to cover the costs of repairing the item, and the warranty will then be voided for the duration of the warranty period on said item.

    If our Tack Experts determine that the item in question is not covered by warranty damage, they have the right to refuse repair or replacement coverage. If it is determined that the item is covered by our warranty, then a replacement, or suitable repair will be approved.

    Minor damage is defined as repairable damage such as loose stitching, minor rips, tears, or holes, broken replaceable hardware, etc.

    If the customer is unable to bring the item in question to our business, then photos of the item in question can be emailed to Within two business days, one of our tack experts will check these photos, and at their discretion offer up to a $20.00 gift certificate for minor repair, allow for a replacement (either fully covered by us, or partially covered by us), or deny the warranty claim.

    By registering your item for a warranty, you agree that all legal disputes are to be filed in the Massillon Court, Ohio only.

    Proportional Warranty Values

    In the case of hay-holding products such as hay bags, hay nets, or hay bale bags, they are often seen as toys by horses once they are empty, and are chewed on, pawed at, or otherwise damaged. Because of this, they can be worn down very fast or damaged and so although they are warrantied items, they are warrantied at a proportional value.     *In order to combat warranty fraud, all warranty claims submitted within three days of the end of the warranty period, will be scrutinized very closely. All warranties submitted during that period will only have a 5% proportional value.

    Return Policies

    If the item in question is found to be damaged by abuse, an accident, or any other non-covered reason, the customer may pick the item up, pay to have it shipped back to them, or have us destroy the item. All replacement items will be shipped out at the customer’s expense, and the shipping costs must be paid before the item will be sent out. If a customer gives us a product to be repaired, the item will be repaired, and then shipped back to the customer at their expense. All warranty items may be picked up for free by the customer at our warehouse location of they prefer. Our pick-up/drop-off details are listed below.
